16-05-2013 - Informative event on the implementation of the 2nd call for proposals of geothermal and other low carbon projects under the NER300 funding programme

 

On Friday, May 17, 2013 will be an instant thematic round-table discussion seminar - of energy experts and stakeholders on EE & RES issues - organized by Riga Energy Agency (REA). The topic of the current discussion is “Low carbon projects financing opportunities by the 2nd call for proposals of the NER300 support program”. The seminar agenda contains presentations on the topics of NER300 funding program requirements and preliminary evaluations of geothermal energy projects. Overview of NER300 Project selection guidelines in MS, eligibility criteria etc.will be presented by the representative of the responsible ministry - the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development. Geothermal energy use possibilities in Latvia will be presented by Mr. Astrīds Freimanis, Dr.geol.h.c., Honorary doctor of Academy of Science of Latvia. Also presentations of the local geothermal project ideas are welcome.
